Time to book your international snow holiday...
With the end of the Southern Hemisphere season drawing to a close, keen snow riders are turning their attention to the resort areas of Japan, North America & Europe. The snow starts falling early in the North and some areas have already begun snowmaking and had their natural snow falls! Japan and North America resorts tend to open around the start of December with Europe following a week or two later.
The Christmas period thru to early January is the busiest time of the year to travel and snow resorts are no exception. If you are thinking of a “white Xmas” you will need to book ASAP!! Peak international airfares usually run thru until mid January so if you can take advantage after this time for your holiday you will save. The peak snow depth for most international resorts is not until February so again a little later is better to give you savings and some quality snow riding.
Complete packages are not always the best way to go as you can find some super cheap Jetstar flights to Japan or gain access to frequent flyer seats to the States. If this is the case it is best to lock these in as soon as possible as they are subject to change which can happen quickly. If you do have your own flights we can book a “Land Only” package tailored with transfers, accommodation, lift passes and ski rental at your preferred resort.
Although on stating the above, ski packages to the Northern Winter add the ability for stopovers. If skiing Niesko try adding a 2 day city tour of Tokyo. Why not take the kids (and the adults) to Disneyland on the way home form Steamboat or sunning yourself at Phuket Beach to warm up after a snow holiday in St Moritz?
With the exchange rate looking great at the moment it’s a great excuse to chase the snow this coming Northern Hemisphere Winter.
