Jindabyne Traffic Chaos

Like the rest of the Australian Ski Industry we fully support the efforts of our Police in trying the clear our streets of illicit drugs BUT, to inconvenience our guests on the busiest day of what has been a difficult winter by drug and breath testing every car trying to get to the resorts is not the way to encourage and keep tourists. The ensuing two to three hour traffic gridlock throughout Jindabyne was not fair. If, as our guest, you would like to voice your concerns please contact your local state member of Parliament.

The RTA is also called upon to act on suggestions put forward to change the traffic lanes from the Barry Way to the Thredbo turnoff to allow two lanes at all time. At the present time they will not act so its up to us to persuade them!!

A Winters Storm Coming!!

Look out everyone there's a storm coming. The weather guru's are saying up to 50cm by the weekend!!
There's nothing like a winter storm at the end of August cause that set's us up for a great September...

Looks Like being a great September in the Mountains

It's shaping up to be a fantastic September in the mountains. We have gone from 30cm of snow cover to over a meter in only one storm! And there's more to come before spring hits.

If you haven't experienced springtime in the mountains you have missed out on one of the best seasons. The days are longer with the snow crisp in the morning before softening. You start early and finish for an afternoon sleep!

In spring you also experience some great backcountry sessions by hiking out a little from the resorts and enjoy the unspoilt wilderness. Or you take a game of tennis or a horse ride. Maybe a swim in the pool at Thredbo or Jindabyne.

New Snow Last Night

Wednesday - The resorts recorded some new snow last night and it continues to come down with gale force winds expected for Thursday!!

Customer just reported (12:30 Wed) snowing and blowing!!!

Time to think about another snow trip??

Great news!! Thredbo opend Sponars lift today for the first time.. I'm sure you will get some great riding around the rocks on skiers right??
